Alessandro Melis
I was born and raised in Iglesias, a historic town surrounded by the ancient mining hills of southwestern Sardinia. After completing my studies in cultural heritage at the University of Cagliari, I returned to my hometown to work in local tourism and regional preservation projects.
My family has lived in this region for generations. My grandfather was a miner who spent his youth working in the galleries of Masua and Nebida. Over the years, I have gathered maps, photographs, and historical documents regarding our mining coast. I created this independent portal to share our history and assist travellers in exploring the cliffs of Masua.
